If you have been reading my blog for awhile, you might know that I love nature, to be more specific, parks. For me, park is the place where you can sit on the grass, reflect on your life, sip a cup of tea, start a picnic, read, write, observe. Peaceful environment is always very inspiring to me. Today, I would like to introduce you to a small town in the Italian part of Switzerland, Lugano. It’s an incredible place that I’ve fallen in love with!
Switzerland is very expensive, so rather than staying in a hotel, you can live in Italy and just take a car or train if you want to come to Lugano. That’s exactly what I did. I’ve stayed in Milan, Italy and came to Lugano 2 times by a car and train. The car ride is a little more than an hour long, and the train ride is an hour. Be very wary about taking a train ride past 9 o’clock pm from Lugano. When I took the train back to Milan, the station was almost empty, so my recommendation is to take earlier trains. Switzerland is very safe but still you need to be careful.
1. See the spectacular view of the lake and the city from the Monte Bre.
2. Sit down in a local cafe on the Piazza Della Riforma and get yourself an ice cream or any other dessert.
3. Visit Parco Civico, pick a spot under a tree, observe, and relax. This place is my favorite. Sit down in the shade, put on your headphones, listen to chill out music, and look at the lake, the mountains, the buildings and flowers. Also, it’s a very good place for meditation. If you are coming to Lugano for only a couple of hours and you can only visit one place, just visit this one. It will make you very happy.
4. At the sundown, take a seat on the bench next to the lake and look at the sunset, pretty buildings and the lake. A moment just to reflect and appreciate your life. Follow me on BLOGLOVIN’, TWITTER, FACEBOOK, TUMBLR, GOOGLE +
