How To Have An Unforgettable Autumn

2014/10/16 15

Do you love autumn? I certainly do. There is always something so beautiful in every season. If you are not enjoying this autumn, I hope to inspire you to rethink this time of the year and have an unforgettable autumn. I came up with 30 activities, that will make your fall very special. You can do as many as 30 activities or try out a couple of your favorites. Begin to feel the magic of this season!

Here is my guide on how to feel the loving embrace of this season.

1. Pour yourself a cup of coffee/tea, open your window, sit down on a soft surface, cover your body with a fleece blanket, listen to the rain or put on your headphone, sip your drink and read a poetry book

2. During the rain, wear a raincoat, boots and go for a walk

3. Go to the forest, observe the beautiful colors of the leaves, and listen to the crunchy sound leaves make when you step on them

4. Buy new alternative music.

5. Hide yourself from the rain in a bookstore

6. Light up fall scented candles.

7. Snuggle in your bed for one extra minute in the morning

8. Wear cozy clothes

9. Brainstorm a very creative Halloween costume

10. Go to a park, sit down on a bench, simply breathe and enjoy the chilly air

11. Kiss your loved one in the rain

12. Escape the cold weather in a coffee shop, get a drink, take a seat next to the window, and watch the world

13. Begin writing a gratitude journal or a diary

14. Get caught in a downpour

15. Read an inspiring novel

16. Start thinking about Christmas

17. Don’t let the gloomy weather, ruin your mood

18. Look at the positive side of things

19. Don’t always wear black and grey colored clothes, try different shades of reds, browns, yellows and white.

20. Go for a run with your friends

21. Indulge in sweet treats

22. Decorate your room

23. Have a picnic with your family at the park

24. Lay in a pile of fallen leaves, or throw fallen leaves in the air

25. Learn how to cook a new dish

26. Spent a weekend in the countryside

27. Dance in the rain

28. Sit in the back seat of the car, listen to music and look at the rainy window

29. Fall in Love

30. Make new memories!

Have a wonderful autumn!

I wish I had a near park to lay on the leaves. I live in a very large and crowded city. Anyway, I think I’ll do the world-watching in a coffee shop :)

I understand this so well. I don’t have any nice parks nearby but sometimes I take road trips to a close city that has many good parks. Thank you Cathy for reading and leaving a comment!

This is such a beautiful, feel-good post Madeline. So glad I stopped by today. A reminder that sometimes it’s the simple things that can make us feel great. I need to stop and enjoy the moment more often.

Hope you have a great weekend.

I can completely understand, I used to live in Florida and I felt quite sad without snow in the winter! Thanks for reading.
